Regional Weather: lower Southeast U.S.

Unsettled weather, shifting south. The cold front now over northern FL / southern GA pushes southward down the FL peninsula as cool high pressure builds into the eastern U.S.. Expect widespread showers and storms across the region on Monday. Unsettled weather moves farther south each day. Highs in the 80s, lows in the 60s, with some 70s / 50s toward the mainland Tuesday and Wednesday.

 

OUTLOOK:

Overview: Epidemic spread likely in central and southern FL. The positioning of the major weather features ... front at the northern edge of the region moving south and high pressure to the south of the known sources ... produces transport events tracking to the ENE and east Monday and Tuesday. Events move near the sources and slowly south Wednesday with the front atop the southern FL growing areas. Conditions are favorable for epidemic spread in central and/or southern FL through midweek.
