Regional Weather: Southern U.S.

Summertime pattern. High pressure lies over the South; a front is draped over the northern sections. Warm and muggy airmass covers nearly all of the region. Afternoon / evening showers may occur each day. The better chance of rain is near the coasts and in TX / LA. The better chance of dry weather is toward the interior. Highs in the 80s, lows in the 60s and low 70s.

OUTLOOK:

Overview: Epidemic spread possible near the sources. Transport events from FL and GA move near the sources, the ones from TX track westward. Conditions are mixed for the Southeast's events each day. Slightly favorable conditions are expected for the TX events. It appears that the weather in the Southeast will continue to be somewhat favorable (or more) for epidemic spread as the week progresses. This bears watching.
