A dry period. High pressure over the southern U.S. dominates after the exit of the midweek cold front. Expect mostly sunny skies and little, if any, rainfall. Winds diminish as the High moves from the mid-South to the Atlantic coast. Initially cool with a warming trend into the weekend; highs in the 60s and 70s becoming mostly 70s on Sunday; lows in the 40s and 50s turning to 50s and 60s.
