Regional Weather: lower Southeast U.S.

Unsettled today; dry Saturday and Sunday. Cold front moves into the region today accompanied by scattered showers. The front stalls across the peninsula Saturday and high pressure builds in from the north. Mostly dry weather is forecast for Saturday and Sunday. Showers ahead of the next system may encroach upon western sections by late Sunday. Highs in the 70s and 80s, lows in the 50s and 60s. More unsettled weather arrives early next week.

 

OUTLOOK:

Overview: Epidemic spread possible on Friday, unlikely Saturday and Sunday. Transport events track to the ENE fairly rapidly today. Mixed conditions exist in central FL, slightly favorable conditions toward the south. Some epidemic spread across the FL peninsula is possible. Drier weather prevails Saturday and Sunday. Some clouds and a small chance of showers, in southern FL on Sunday, may give rise to some short-range spread.
