Regional Weather: Lower Southeast

Active weather the next 3 days. High pressure is shifting to the east in advance of a complex weather system impacting the region Saturday and Sunday. A warm front will reform along the Gulf Coast tonight. Waves of low pressure will move along the front with the most potent one affecting the region Saturday and Saturday night. Mostly dry weather today will give way to moderate to heavy rains on Saturday and Sunday. Greatest amounts are expected toward the mainland. Highs from the 60s to 80s going to 70s and 80s Sunday. Lows in the 50s and 60s.   


OUTLOOK:

Overview: Mixed conditions expected for the weekend transport events. The most favorable conditions for epidemic spread (greatest cloud cover, best chances of rain, greatest amounts) will remain north of the knows sources and their associated transport events. There will be a smaller chance of showers on Saturday compared to Friday and Sunday.

Regional Weather: Lower Southeast

Unsettled Wednesday; dry Thursday. A cold front will move through the FL peninsula today and tonight. Showers are likely over the peninsula and possible elsewhere today under variably to mostly cloudy skies. Dry weather is expected on Thursday region-wide. Highs in the 60s to 80s today, 60s and 70s Thursday. Lows mostly 30s and 40s. A major weather system will trek across the southern U.S. late in the week, impacting the region on Friday and continuing through the weekend.   


OUTLOOK:

Overview: Epidemic spread likely in FL for Wednesday's events. Airborne spores will move to the northeast on Wednesday under favorable conditions for survivable transport and deposition. Conditions will be more mixed in southernmost FL. Unfavorable conditions will exist for Thursday's events, which are headed to the SSW.

Active weather early this week. A frontal system will be moving through the region over the next 2 days. Expect partly to mostly cloudy skies and scattered showers or storms. Highs in the 70s and 80s; lows in the 50s and 60s tonight, 40s to 60s Tuesday night.  


OUTLOOK:

Overview: Epidemic spread possible in FL. Transport events move generally north to northeast on Monday, and slowly northeast to east on Tuesday. Conditions will be mixed for survivable transport and deposition. The potential for transport northward up the FL peninsula is greater Monday than Tuesday.

Tranquil weather for the next several days. High pressure that now lies over FL / Gulf of Mexico will shift east with time. Skies will be sunny to partly cloudy. Dry weather will prevail until early next week. Highs in the 70s warming to the 70s and 80s. Lows in the 40s and 50s.

Overview: Unfavorable conditions continue. Transport events do not approach other growing areas. Conditions are unfavorable for survivable transport, as well. No rain is forecast for the source region.
