Regional Weather: Lower Southeast

Dry Friday and Saturday; chance of showers Sunday. High pressure will provide dry and mostly sunny conditions Friday and Saturday, with any precipitation staying mostly northwest of the region. By Sunday, a frontal system will generate showers in northern FL and the mainland areas late in the day. The rest of the peninsula will remain dry. Highs in the 70s warming to 70s and 80s. Lows mostly in the 40s and 50s. Unsettled weather is expected much of next week.

OUTLOOK:

Overview: Epidemic spread unlikely. Conditions will be unfavorable for survivable transport and deposition for the weekend transport events. These events move toward central FL Saturday and Sunday, but given the unfavorable conditions the chance of epidemic spread is minimal. No rain is expected during any of the transport events save for a slight chance of a shower near the Immokalee source on Sunday. However, the chance is very low and any epidemic spread would be confined to locations very near the source.

Risk prediction map for Day 1: Friday, March 29

Minimal Risk to cucurbits.

Risk prediction map for Day 2: Saturday, March 30

Minimal Risk to cucurbits.

Risk prediction map for Day 3: Sunday, March 31

Minimal Risk to cucurbits.

Regional Weather: Lower Southeast

Active weather the next 3 days. High pressure is shifting to the east in advance of a complex weather system impacting the region Saturday and Sunday. Lows in the 50s and 60s.
